Today we decided we would go back downtown. We parked for free in the Oprey Mill car park. ( this is the huge complex where we were yesterday..we know our way there more or less, (the car parks are bigger to do u turns in) and caught a bus from there downtown. As we are seniors we had half price tickets....good for our budget! It was really warm and humid but we wanted to do the Ryman tour. At least in the buildings there is air conditioning. It was just like English chocolate with nuts.....delicious.On the way to our accommodation we stopped ...

Leaving St. Louis was hard.  It would have been easier if we'd looked at the street signs and realized we should turn LEFT instead of RIGHT and ended up in East St. Louis; on the other side of the Mississippi in Illinois!   On top of that we were dealing with another equipment failure. This time it was my sunglasses. I would have to continue being the navigator until we found somewhere to buy new ones. We didn't take many pictures of the scenery on the the trip ...

Hit the BP station in Metropolis, IL randomly and the boys were excited to find out that it's Superman's hometown. Even the gas station had these sweet cutouts to pose with. They want to collect stickers from all of the states as we travel so we were able to get a fun one. As we travel further south the people seem to get more polite. Less fashionable perhaps but definitely kinder and more considerate. Made it to Kentucky!!! ...
