In 1974 after many years the Ryman centre then became too small a venue and it was decided a bigger place was to be built and called Grand Ole Oprey. ( where it stands to this day) The Ryman centre was closed and went into decline for 20 years until the stars who used to play there paid to refurbish it. Reopened in 1994 . It is still used to this day for venues, up to 250 concerts a year. As the ...

As I set down to write this blog it is 11.15 at night, having been to a show at Grand Ole OPRY. This morning we left for Opryland/ Music Valley, on arriving we went to buy tickets for the show, and all that was left was standing only tickets!! I carried George from the car to the Opry for his photo shoot at 6:30.  I think he's going to show up in a few other people's vacation photo albums!  He's pretty quiet about what kind of music he likes but he thought the big guitar was neat, even though it wasn't the Hard Rock. That's about all folks. If you're ever in Nashville, the Grand Ole Opry is definitely THE thing to do.  You might want to avoid CMA Fest week ...

Hit the BP station in Metropolis, IL randomly and the boys were excited to find out that it's Superman's hometown. Even the gas station had these sweet cutouts to pose with. They want to collect stickers from all of the states as we travel so we were able to get a fun one. As we travel further south the people seem to get more polite. Less fashionable perhaps but definitely kinder and more considerate. Made it to Kentucky!!! ...
