... the Spanish club song, "Oye El Boom". I was singing this song with Hans (South Dakota) and we are up on a platform. All of a sudden, Rachel (Colorado) twirls, trips, and slides on the stage. Hans, myself, and those singing in the microphone sectionals to our left see this.

... our travel day to Odense, Denmark. And us girls, we were all about MAD.

No, we weren't emotionally mad. And some of us might be a little mentally mad after traveling with the same people for almost 6 months (just kidding!). No, we were all about MAD.

... with an extensive and beautiful 16th century altarpiece. Then I saw the place of H.C Andersons childhood. He was very poor and lived in a tiny house shared with five other families. The nice lady allowed me to go in for free because I had run out of Danish Krona. I am meeting Australians everywhere.

... the birth of the nation of Denmark. Of course squeezed in LegoLand which is done very well. Folke Ferie house/bungalow in the beach woods at the Middelfart Kursus centre by the fiord overlooking the island of Faeno was very pleasant for kids to play & walk. Overall recommend this little country with a big heart to other travellers with children who want a piece of living history & a relaxed time.

... some bad parenting during our visit to Copenhagen. Bruce and I could not resist visiting the Ice Hotel’s "Ice Bar" and dragged the boys along with us. We were worried they might get "carded" at the door but they charmed their way past the bouncer. We have been fortunate to find some interesting festivals so far in Denmark. We visited Kerteminde for their Cherry Festival. They had lots of stands set up with fresh cherries, cherry drinks, cherry desserts, etc. We enjoyed the live music, the shops, and the beach there. We had a great time at a kite festival located on the point of Fyn where the wind was perfect for flying kites. We had fun flying the newly purchased cat ...

...to Denmark.
The original plan was to drive all the way to Copenhagen and stay on a campsite there. But since it rained and rained and rained, we decided to stop earlier and have a good rest before heading to Copenhagen and meeting up with Laurents & Iris at the airport there. We were lucky and found a really nice campsite right at the beach with a view of the Storebaelt Bridge :-)
