... descending into the water. Kind of interesting. The effect is most evident from the water. I didn`t think it was worthy of note myself....but the Norwegians think it is quite splendid. Architecture is one of those freaky deaky things...ya like it....or ya don`t.
Our boat dropped us off at Museum Island. Not an island really....but a penninsula that happens to have the most important Museums of Oslo there. My kids were famished....so the hotdogs were a big hit....not the ...
... hot tub. Being that this is placed on the back deck of the boat, where it's quite windy, the kids enjoyed themselves in the hot tub. The hot tub was full but Annie walked right up and climbed right in. Oh, how I want her courage. Eventually, everyone left and Nick & Annie had it all to themselves. Todd and I were busy planning for tomorrow of course but it looked fun.
I hope you all have a great rest of the weekend. Bye for now :) ~B
After crossing from Sweden to Norway, we camped for the night just inside the Norwegian border. We awoke to a thick covering of morning dew clinging to the outside of our brand new Tarptent that we lugged from LA to Europe. Our then only weighs 2.5 lbs and is easy to set up. Further, upon getting to Sweden, we painstakingly took the time to seal the seams to ensure we'd stay dry in the most ardent of downpours. So there we were, dry as ...
Oslo, Norway jeffnsara... their way to Norway with a group of about 20 to tour for a few days. We chatted a bit. They all had BMW motorcycles. Similar to mine only newer. It was cloudy all morning and it cleared up about the time I entered Norway. The fluffy white clouds and blue sky looked awesome next to the Norwegian scenery. There's a lot of water in Norway. Unfortunately there weren't too many places to stop and take pictures so you'll have to come see for yourself. The customs ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway cobra1899... Also, handball is huge in Europe. Never heard of it before. Interesting to watch, same with water polo. Something different. Anyways, then we came back from sightseeing and had to prepare for the bbq, from here on out referred to as "The Party" k? Hope the weather wherever you are is better than I have seen in Scotland, Norway, and Germany. Good thing I will be in the HEAT next Tues. Anyone want to venture a guess where I am going? he he.
Oslo, Oslo, Norway kimkimmy04... superior to mine when she first arrived here. Judith also could speak some English, but before meeting her, I wondered what language we were going to converse in. Perhaps whatever language came across our minds at that moment. I saw someone sitting alone out of a group of people chatting in the lobby. I came up to her, and asked, "Judith?" She then rose and greeted me in German. I was so glad to finally meet Claudia's sister, and so our ...
Oslo, Norway globetrekker... s of hard slog we finally reached the plateau but the cloud cover was worse now, to the point that it was a complete white-out in the snow. There is a sharp drop down the right side of the summit plateau and i was very conscious of just walking straight off the edge or falling through the snow and plummeting to my death. It was a tough decision but one i had to make so i decided that this was as far as i was going to go. We had taken a few risks to get to where we were and to ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway talamarkoHei... :-) Today Melanie, Tadj and I hung around the house for a few hours the we went into Oslo. From there we visited Mel's old roomate Tova. Who was very nice and lived in this huge house that was built back in the day as a "house of the future" its a little architecture street thing. The house is very large and very cold... but it was really nice to chat with her.

Oslo, Oslo, Norway chinaski... sleep in a corner or something, but come 1am, the security guard closed up the train station and kicked us out, telling us it would reopen at 4:30 am. - low point... very very low point So we headed out to the streets with 50 Kroner in our pocket (about the equivalent of not quite $2) and looked for an all night cafe. Finding only pubs, we picked the best looking one and had enough to get a one cup of coffee between the two of us. It would have been enough for two cups, but Dan ...
