... pizza! No mcdonalds here or pizza, but there are two KFC's for logan if he wants fried chicken burgers! I can eat the fries at least. We heard there are two Korean BBQ places here, and there is a shaboo shabboo place here similar to Korea so that made us happy! In terms of exploring there are many temples to visit, we climbed a mountain called OK Talu to a cool opening at the top where the mountain has a natural window forming where we can see the whole city. ... So I set off after breakfast with my own private Longtail and a really smiley guide! We travelled to the Emerald Cave first, and I couldn't believe my luck, the French couple who I had travelled over from Koh Ngai had also just arrived to enter the cave - what luck, a friendly face to swim the cave with!

Next i went to Hat Lampam beach. This beach lines Songkhla lake which was featured in the last blog entry as the largest natural lake in Thailand. The area is for recreational purposes and is very serene and quiet. It was great walking around this area. There were many types of flora in the area as well as a bridge and two towers that could be climbed for a birds eye view of the surrounding area. I had hoped to have enough time to see Thale Noi, which is a ...

... Totally secluded and with crystal clear water. I do have some photos that I took on my phone as I didn't fancy Kayaking with my camera but the phone has since died in a water based accident! so I will have to wait until I can buy a micro SD adapter before I can take a look at them. The beach there is only about 50 yards long and is surrounded by massive limestone cliffs all around. It's a bit like the beach on Phi Phi from the film of the same name but smaller and much ...

... we pootled along in the long tail boat, admiring the gorgeous scenery. We saw monkeys in the trees hugging the shore, as well as birds of paradise. Schools of fish jumped in and out of the water, evading bigger predators by staying so close to the surface.

We were due to visit Morakot Cave, but as we neared it, our guide noticed that there were too many people, so we sailed instead to a deserted beach in a cove nearby. We spent an hour or so there, ...
