    We loved this hotel

    from

My family of 5 stayed here, and absolutely loved this hotel. It was the perfect place to relax after enjoying the sights of the area. My kids loved the Lazy River pool, with a current that takes tubes around the outer pool. They also enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub area - perfect for the cool mornings! The refrigerator is not tiny, it has a nice cold freezer, and the breakfast buffet was small but perfect, with cereals, juices, biscuits, muffins, & fruit. The rooms were large, with two queen beds & a pull-out sofa. The decor was beautiful, and the staff could not have been more friendly & helpful. And they had lightning bugs you can catch!!!

    Great Value

    from

Excellent Value. Clean, comfortable. Balcony in every room as well as fridge and freezer. Hot tub and indoor pool area is very nice.

    5-Star Quality

    from

This hotel is a DREAM. The rooms are lovely and roomy, the beds are so comfortable. Our room had a balcony with a river & mountain view. It looks like you have stepped into "Gone with the Wind" ! The decor, peace and tranquility of this hotel is of 5-star quality. We will stay here again.

    Extremely Satisfied!

    from

Superior and courteous service. Jacuzzi suite was impeccably clean and comfortable. Room was quiet and frankly a haven after a long day. Gone With the Wind decor was very appealing. My only regret .... which I could have stayed longer. Thanks Clarion Inn!

    Try the jacuzzi suite!

    from

I haved stayed here twice in one of the jacuzzi suites. Not only is the tub great, but the room is large and not long and narrow. The fireplace is also very nice. The best rooms are 101, 103, and 107. These are on the 1st floor. 101 is on the end acrros from the lobby by itself. Nice room. Beautiful hotel. I have reservations there this weekend in for $87.90 for a suite with fireplace and hot tub. Can't beat that. AAA discount-reg 109.00 They also have an indoor pool with a whirlpool right next door to the rooms I mentioned, which are also close to the lobby. Beautiful, clean hotel, next door to Route 66 Restaurant. On sat. nights Route 66 has someone picking and singing in the lounge, (where you can also buy a drink). This hotel is very close to everything. Across the street is Scenic helicopter tours, and about 1-2 miles is Golden Corral. Hope I helped. Enjoy your stay!

    Can't Go Wrong!!

    from

This was absolutely the most delightful hotel I have ever stayed in.

My husband and I were in awe from the minute we pulled into the parking lot. The hotel is beautifully kept and run. The staff is more than gracious and we never saw a one of them without a smile. Our room was gorgeous and definetly we got a deal. It was extremely clean and looked brand new. It was very, very spacious and had a view of the river that was just romantic.

We will never stay anywhere different. We both strongly recommend it.

    Excellent Staff

    from

Have stayed here many times , the staff ,especially Jan , is very nice, and accomodating. Its a beautiful place to stay and I highly recommend it. A big plus! You can get back on Interstate in minutes when you leave for home. Ask the front desk for the "shortcuts" to Gatlinburg to avoid traffic.

    LOVED this hotel

    from

We stayed here two nights and LOVED this place. Had a room right on the river, unloading the car was a breeze, the continental breakfast was fine, and our 9yo son loved their THREE pools. Very quiet, very clean, and non-smoking was definitely non-smoking.The only thing I wanted to change was to have an "off" switch for the balcony light, so we could sit outside in the evening and enjoy the stars and wildlife. They even have lightning bugs!!

The plumbing will keep you up all night!

    from

I have stayed at this Clarion twice and both times, I had to put up with listening to the water from the shower and jacuzzi above. On my last stay I wasin room 201 on the very front of the Inn, and I could hear every car and truck that went by. Iwill stay at this Clarion again, but only if it is on the3rd floor and in the back. It is a very nice, but youjust have to be in on the right floor and in the rightlocation.

    A great place to sleep

    from

we have stayed at this hotel on 2 vacations in that area and

could not have gotten better deal. very clean, safe, nice, quite. good breakfast with paid room. can't go wrong and will always stay here when in the area.

    Day 24

At our first night at an airbnb, we were made to feel very welcome by Vicki and Buddy, they showed us to a very lovely large bedroom with an onsuite. Having slept very well the next morning we left early for Gatlinburg, the second attempt! No short cuts, no scenic routes just the Interstate all the way. We had to pass through Pigeon Forge and we were amazed by the buildings ( if you can call them that ). A play ground ...

What a day! This morning we left the motel after three very comfortable nights to set off for Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge Tennessee. We crossed the border into Tennessee from North Carolina after 45 minutes. We found Gatlinburg very busy as they were preparing for a midnight grand 4th July parade. Already people had put their chairs out along the pavement ready for the evening. Thinking Pigeon Forge...Dolly Parton's home town, would be the same and as time was ...

... museum was better. We wanted to go to the Hillbilly Harley store but after getting our bikes out of the lot, driving through main street with all the stops from the traffic lights and pedestrians we arrived there to see they had no parking of their own and we'd have to pay again. We decided it wasn't worth it and went all the way back through Gatlinburg into the park to continue south on 441. We skipped several nice lookouts because we (I) wanted to go to Clingman's Dome which is ...

Lots of Pictures- Get a feel for the road. I took I 77 west to the tunnel which crossed into West Virginia and took SR-598 to Bluefield where you see the first great vista. 598 hits 19 s to Tazweil where Rt. 16 starts, "The Back of the Dragon". Wow what a ride. I followed 16 to Rt. 58 at the Log Cabin Store in the pictures. Rt. 58 was a surprise because I was expecting rolling curves and country riding ...

... we kept him just watching.

We moved on from there and eventually we found a spot along the road that had easy access to the river. We knew Harley would want to get in so we unloaded him and took him down to the water. The cold didn’t faze him a bit. He wanted to do more than we would let him since he had to stay on his leash. He played for quite a while and Cheryl decided she would take her shoes off and wade in with him. He seemed to like that ...
