... fortunately he isn't allergic to bees.
I think Rich had three flat tires today and Kevin had one but I didn't have one - yeah!
We stopped at a car wash for a quick snack/lunch out of the trunk of the pace car. It was a really nice car wash but unfortunately, car washes don't have restrooms. There was a little old country store across the street. Of course that is the first place several of us headed. They had an Out of ...
... get the tire changed quickly. "Quickly" doesn't happen fast. First he got a local RV repair shop adjacent to the park to come take the tire off. Then he drove it to Discount Tire to see if it could be repaired. Meanwhile, Nitchie and I sat inside the trailer propped at an odd angle.
When you buy a used vehicle, you always look at the tires to see if they are good. These looked to be in great shape last February when we purchased the rig ...

National security on holiday- two young men in Best Buy, discussing their high school past- "We were dorks . . . ," Alexi openly admits, "But we did get the most air time at the senior roast." I chose to sit outside while they went in, remembering the last time I was here in Waco was Thanksgiving. I remembered the headline on Black Friday, "Man Gets Trampled to Death by Mob of Shoppers." Still cant be Healthburger, and the mild heart-seizures that come with it. It was great to see old buddy Denton and his family. If he would actually get the hell out of that town, might actually visit him more often (joking, kind of).
Well, the time is growing near now. There's about two weeks until we leave for Thailand. I'll admit I'm a little worried because we haven't received our letters of employment or our visas yet. Hopefully those will get here on time or I guess we'll have to go late or something. I'm starting to get a bit more excited. We've got our orientation tomorrow and we'll all finally meet. Our ESL teacher's training is coming up soon too. In the meantime I'm ...
Waco, Texas, United States kurisuta... getting the apartment all cleaned up. I tend to throw my laundry everywhere, lol. I really thing thus far the waiting is the hardest part. Getting all the paperwork together was a little difficult but really didn't take too long. The people I'm working with are prompt and helpful. I'm sure when it comes time for immunizations I'll be singing a different tune but until then, sayonara.
Waco, Texas, United States kurisuta... things to bring along. It's difficult to find a program where you can teach yourself Thai. I'm going to Best Buy tonight to check because the local Books A Million didn't have ANY books on Thai language. They did have a few guide books though, and I found the Lonely Planet and Let's Go series to be extremely helpful during my stay in Japan. There's always online too, although Amazon.com did not have as many as I thought they would. I did find Pimsleur's ...
Waco, Texas, United States kurisuta... But we've had all this before. Nearing our campsite, we left the racetrack to join 'Frontage Road' (there is one of those in every town, running parallel, with one way traffic the same way as the freeway) and straight into a very new experience, this frontage road was two way and there was a small truck coming at us! Well he did actually stop as there was a yield sign but it did ...
