... Ron did this only to find the primary Racor filter was almost completely clogged, primarily from detritus and algae that had broken loose during our rough ride the other day. Looks like we will be here at least another day here to fix this. This isn't a problem and both Maggie and I feel better having discovered this while tied to a dock rather than out in the boonies in some remote location. Tonight is forecast to be cold but not as cold as last ...

At lunchtime, I enter the cafeteria, and walk through the line with a tray. They have strange food choices, I think, like grits and whole fruits. A kitchen helper is clearing off a student’s tray, after they finish eating. The ...

I can't remember now, but I think we stopped for the night after motoring the whole day after leaving Myrtle Beach. Anyway our next stop was Georgetown. It was a pretty little town with nice homes, the kind with the porches that make you want to sit and have a glass of lemonade with a friend, and streets lined with majestic old trees. We walked downtown, had a meal, and went back to the boat for the evening. Along the ICW that day we had finally seen an alligator! ...
