We drove to Hopsewee Plantation for our reserved tour. You get a discounted price when reservations are made. Hopsewee Plantation is a National Historic Landmark. It is one of the oldest plantations opened to the public. It was constructed between 1735 and 1740. Only five families have owned the plantation since it was built. Hopsewee has remained essentially the same for almost three centuries.

At lunchtime, I enter the cafeteria, and walk through the line with a tray. They have strange food choices, I think, like grits and whole fruits. A kitchen helper is clearing off a student’s tray, after they finish eating. The ...

... Disgusting ! Like most of the American cakes We have had.
Georgetown is on an inlet and the streets are tree lined and the houses are amazing..not overly huge but beautiful just the same. The main street isnt big but very quaint. We were told it was a small scale Charlestown, cheaper and less tourists. its nice but I am looking forward to tomorrow and Charlestown..I will be on the lookout for Clark Gable...or a lookalike at least.
