    ... water rushing all over you. Shiver... Similarly, when skating on frozen rivers you can fall through the ice and have to scramble your way out with picks attached to your backpack for just such occasions. Per fell in once recently and said that after the initial shock of the cold water, if you get out, strip and re-dress within 5 minutes you don't even feel cold because your body is rushing hot blood everywhere to make sure you don't die!

    ... surrounding village looked like it was an affluent area with lots of red painted wooden houses with terraces set around a lovely lake with a fountain. It really was too hot to do anything else so we headed back to the digs and I am currently sat in the garden with a coffee. Off out tonight to a local hostelry for a beer (only £4 a pint) and some food. All in all a quiet day. Another big riding day tomorrow I believe so early night for me later Catch you all ...

    ... campus in general services (it) and said if I was ever at the campus to look him up. Unlikely but you never know. The run into Gutenberg went smoothly but you travel up the river into the city for ages and go under a suspension bridge and you are so close you feel like you need to duck!     ... spot, more like a lay-by, 20 metres from the E4 which is full of traffic. Some picnic spots or motorway service areas charge for an overnight spot often up to 300 SEK and they are not the best! This place is OK, other folk are here but also noisy though free. All the facilities a motorhomers needs are available though. A long day with 12 hours on the road, except for stops of course, but what one would expect when heading up to the edge of the Arctic ...
