          ... used to be made of horse meat (no doubt the inspiration for Ikea's meatballs) but is now just your standard sausage mystery meat (so...probably still horse...) It tasted just like a frankfurt to me.

          That night some of Emelie's friends came around to enjoy our spectacular kanelbullar (aka cinnamon buns) and dammsugare (aka dustsuckers, look it up!)

          Two of those friends, Per (pronounced 'pear' with a nice little roll on the 'r') and Johanna are outdoorsy types, so ...

          ... we peeked into a workshop and found a v8 6.1 litre dodge challenger with 24 inch wheels and twin turbo - outrageous but great fun. Oh these crazy swedes Found a beautiful lake which led into the sea to relax by, trouble was it was 5 km on a gravel road. The boys enjoyed it so much we went off roading for about 20 km so we were riding in the forest on gravel roads. I now know why the swedes are so good at Rallying - all the roads apart from the main ones ...

          Today was always going to be a long one with about 300 miles and a 3 and a half hour ferry crossing so we rose early 5 am actually and were ready to leave for 6 ish to head over to fredrickhavn to catch the ferry to Gutenberg (pronounced gothenberg) in sweden. At 6am in Denmark today it was 17 degrees and we were in full bike gear - it was going to be a hot day. We arrived just in time to get on the ferry with ...

          Well, we slept OK on this old piece of road and no disturbances except for the light - it hardly went dark at all this far North. So light in fact we are up at 0430 and after a coffee en route by 0515 so now we feel we have been driving for ages, and of course we have.
