From there we drove north to Missouri Valley where we went to the Desoto Wildlife Refuge. We had heard about this site at the earlier prairie refuge we had visited. A travel blog entry by sidforsenate on Jan 18, 2014

Dawn represented me at the Nebraskans United for Life dinner at the Ramada on 72nd Street in Omaha. I was sorry to miss the event, but was campaigning out of town. Since we are pro-life and pro-family, it was a joy for Dawn to attend and celebrate pro-life with other like-minded people.

Dawn ran into many old friends who are prominent in the pro-life community, and met many new friends. She praised the event for its excellent fund-raising auction, tasty dinner and good ...
