... get my hands on. I think that when this trip is over, we'll have to plan another to Northern Ireland. I have found a lot of places I would love to see...but many of them are up North. My list includes: Carrowkeel Cemetary above Lough Arrow. They have one special burial chamber that is lit by the sun on the day of the summer solstice - June 21 - as opposed to the winter solstice. I would love to see the Giant's Causeway. It is bizare with ...

In-flight entertainment: Watched some of a Big Bang Theory episode before I messed up the controls and then didn't want to sit through the first half of it again. Oh well. Watched the beginning of "17 Again," enough to see Adam Gregory...then realized he was only in the flashback at the ...
... about a delay anyway. If we followed the advice to "Seek Alternate Route" we would spend a lot of time "seeking" I imagined.
Well, as luck would have it, when we got closer to the St. Louis area, traffic began to pile up, then quickly came to a near halt. We were crawling along at 2-3 miles an hour. We had no idea what was up. It was Sunday afternoon. To try to solve the mystery, we turned on our c.b. radio which we still had from the trip to Central ...
... really know what you're doing on that one?!
Also figured out it's going to be one GIANT birthday celebration while there for Patryk, Jim, and Malia! The planning for the trip is just as much as the trip itself. Found an awesome website that posted an article on driving that has me glad I won't be doing the driving! This "must read" is at: http://www.irishcultureandcustoms.com/A travel/Driving1.html
Here's to the next part of planning the trip!

... am actually traveling from Dayton tomorrow. The October trip leaves from Cincinnati.
Showing up at the Cincinnati airport at 5am only to find that I should have been in Dayton would not have been the best start to the trip.
... family was the last to depart, so that we could see everyone off safely. Because we used award tickets for Fiona and Tatiana, we hadn't been able get seats departing until late Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, which meant two extra nights in Jordan. We decided to spend our day and half of free family time down in Aqaba. So after seeing everyone off, we caught the 1:00 pm (Sunday) Jett bus down to Aqaba; a five-hour trip. The tickets cost about $12 each once-way, a ...

I don't like being 'stuck' to the wire at the desk and I for got to bring our other router on the trip so I broke down and bought another one for traveling since we use the other one at home for streaming iTunes to the stereo. I also did food shopping... goodness things are a bit more expensive here. Finally Joe P and I did dinner one more time. We ...

We left Carolyn's around 10:30am after breakfast, showers and conversation. WE made Cleo's bottles for the day and left with a fresh fruit salad and some ham for lunch. Thanks Carolyn! Madeline talked to Cleo and kissed her head. Cleo is now asleep and we are rolling along after only one wrong ...
I broke my arm. We had 36 hours until wheels up, and my clumsy ass decided it was a good idea to go skiing. Suffice it to say, that it wasn't one of my most level headed decisions, but now at least I know what it's like to break a bone. How's that for walking on the sunny side of the street? My Dad had all of his sons in town, which doesn't happen all that often these days, and he wanted to take us skiing. So, we went "night skiing", something that I ...
