... going down the road. On Tuesday we took a ride on the scooter, stopped for lunch, and when we came out the scooter would not start. Now we have to get it fixed. Fortunately there was a surplus store next door for us to waste some time hoping the scooter would star if we waited, it didn't. Bill hitchhiked back to the Casino to get the truck, Bonnie waited with the scooter.

With the heated grips on and my winter gloves, I was fine in my lined jacket and regular shirt until the last twenty minutes. Then the thought of cranking up the heat in the motel room sustained me. Since I had delays, I didn&#8217;t make it to Oklahoma City in time to see any of the things I wanted to. But that is okay.
