While we were in Townsville it was the first time we had seen blue sky and sun since we left Atherton, but it clouded over and drizzled on the last day we were there. The sugar cane fields stopped just past Ayre, and returned as we got nearer to Proserpine. They had started harvesting, and the mills were ...

First stop was Slade Point Reserve. We went past the entry a couple of times and ended up at a lookout where a guy told us to follow him and he took us close to the correct spot. After another go we found the entrance and headed in. Although there were a lot of mossies the walk was still good as we foung a couple of Goannas and Michelle was happy as we also found some Radjah Shelduicks ...
