... descent back down the mountain (not my favourite drive!) Our day finished with a visit to the Mackay Marina. The Breakwater doubles as a road that allows you to drive right out into the harbor. Millions of dollars worth of flash boats are moored here.

Our latest adventure was out to Seaforth and Cape Hillsborough, part of the Hibiscus Coast. The dense rainforest meets the ocean at the Cape Hillsborough National Park and the rocky headlands plunge into the deep blue ...

... we headed to in the early afternoon, then time for another swim before a lazy afternoon. Tonight the park is hosting a free sausage sizzle for dinner!!

Tomorrow we have a shortish drive (125km) to our next stop at Flaggy Rock, not much there as we understand but the name itself deserves a stop over and also one of Wendys previous work mates husbands hails from there!!

Thursday morning the 3rd and with nowhere to exercise we decide to make another early start on the 140km to Mackay. What a difference a day makes as within 50km of departure the terrain changes to lush sugar cane fields interspersed with area of macadamia and avocado ...

... to have fish and chips on the marina so a found a table he went to order . Lovely spot got his fish and chips and I did have a little. We left the Marina for town to do our bike ride. Found the track got the bikes out then noticed mine had a flat tire. We were prepared this time so we though AL had bought the puncher kit and tools just in case but he forgot the pump so back to the van he went. I sat on the bank with the bikes. When he returned he pumped the tire up it did go down so ...

... he wired up so he could pump the 20 litres direct into the tank without having to lift the heavy container and hold it while the water runs slowly into the tanks. The fellas had never seen this done and duly took photos on their mobile phones of the pump setup so they could do the same. They are both from Victoria and are heading north to find warm, dry weather, a long way to go judging on what we have experienced so ...
