First stop was Slade Point Reserve. We went past the entry a couple of times and ended up at a lookout where a guy told us to follow him and he took us close to the correct spot. After another go we found the entrance and headed in. Although there were a lot of mossies the walk was still good as we foung a couple of Goannas and Michelle was happy as we also found some Radjah Shelduicks ...

She seemed to deteriorate after that and her breathing became very labored and we ...

... head on -we are still amazed that he somehow managed to get back onto the right side of the road in time. A little further up the road we were going thru road works and the truck coming in the opposite direction threw up a big rock that hit our windscreen - fortunately they don't shatter like they used to but we do now have a rather nasty crack in the screen.
We were both relieved to finally make it to the caravan park at Cape Hillsborough - ...

... took a photo with the lighthouse and had a cuppa. Got back to camp for lunch, sausage on bread. Matt put the currie on for dinner and I did the washing, breeze up this arvo, should all dry quickly. This resort is top notch, everything you need, the service is fantastic and the owners and staff really friendly, if you are ever in mackay it's well worth travelling the 20 minutes on to Cape Hillsbrough, owned by Ben Atherton. We had ...
