Slept for a few hours on the bus, so the 7 hour journey wasn't that long.
My neck did appreciate the sleeping position though.
Got to Mackay at 4:30am. Was pitch black. The driver was telling us about the lorikeets while he was waiting for people.
Bus left at 5am and we waited for a bit to see the sun come up.
Once we'd seen that we went into the petrol station's restaurant and had a toastie each and some chips. Dragged that out for a while and then walked ...

In de middag zijn we meer gaan verkennen van dit kleine stadje wat geheel om suiker riet draait. Ook hebben we informatie voor het "country festival" gevonden. Ik ben blij als we zaterdag weer door rijden :-)
Het kampvuur is weer aan en we hebben lekker een uur voor het eten erbij gezeten. S'avonds koelt het best fris af. Vanavond vroeg naar bed!!
