It was a steady descent back down the mountain, criss-crossing the Appalachian Trail as we went and in error we drove back through Williamstown to discover the late afternoon sun catching the ...

We have been daring and booked a hotel in New York City. Comfort Inn at Manhattan Bridge. They gave a good rate for a 3 night stay, Friday night to Monday morning. They have parking attached and Wes feels he should be able to drive us there. We will have our walking shoes on to cover all the sights. Will even go out at night!

Booked into another Comfort Inn outside Albany. We are now considered to be "preferred members" as we have stayed with them quite a few times. This hotel is quite fancy looking from the outside and has banquet rooms. Had Italian for dinner at a nearby restaurant. We have decided to spend 2 nights here to have a bit of a rest day tomorrow and we have spent a few hours researching where to stay in New York City. Still none the wiser.
