WELL IVE DOUBLED UP ON MY DATES BUT BY THIS STAGE OF THE TRIP IM CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT AND WHERE IVE BEEN, CONSIDERING WE HAVE TRAVELLED THROUGH ABOUT 10 STATES, SUCH A VARIETY OF SCENERY ALONG THE WAY, AND THE PEOPLE WE HAVE MET.
We decided to go to Graceland today. On the way we needed to go to an ATM for some cash. the only one nearby was a 'drive in' so we have now experienced our first drive in ATM, photo to prove it. We arrived at Graceland and whilst waiting for the shuttle bus to take us to the house we visited the Automobile Museum. We were then taken by shuttle to Graceland's and spent the next 2 hours wondering around Elvis's home. ...
... have been watching the weather and believe that Tropical Storm Bill’s remains will be hitting along our route if we leave on Thursday, as we had planned. We will now leave here on Friday and should be able to avoid any of the bad weather as we head west. We will continue to monitor the weather. We have a few days to play with before we need to be back in Arizona, so it should be fine.

... in Nashville you can sense and smell the history of the place. The studio still has the piano Jerry Lee played, including the cigar burn he left so you would Jerry Lee Lewis had been there! The highlight for both of us was definitely standing where the likes of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis had stood to write and record their music and then getting to hold and touch the actual microphone used by Elvis to record his songs.

Finished the night at a hidden local BBQ restaurant. Had to stand with all the locals in the alley for half hour before we could get in but that was good having a chat with our new friends. Another fab day in Memphis (and Mississippi and Arkansas).
