... patriotic veterans groups, show horses, and decorated floats. During the last weekend of October, thousands attend the Arkansas Bean Fest and Great Championship Outhouse Races. Nearly one ton of pinto beans are cooked in large, antique iron kettles that are set up along the west side of the courthouse square. ... like the horse stables and Lisa Marie's play area. The Presley family graves were quite sad, they all died really young except the grandmother who outlived everyone.

The best part of the tour was definitely his car and plane collection. Everything he owned was modified though to his taste, which translates to more blue suede/ leather and gold plated ...

... in a pink Cadillac. This place is just a little bit past Graceland. Graceland was still all lit up for Christmas and was very pretty. The driver said they leave the Christmas decorations up till after Elvis Presley's birthday, then they take them down. We had a good time. It was just a really fun crew to be flying ...

... old mud fields. Mississippi, despite the farming, looks like a poor state if you judge it by the look of the towns we travelled through. A lot appear to be run-down and in dire need of repair. Looks like most have big afro-american communities interspersed with hillbillies and not very many latinos. Those I spoke to all seemed very friendly though. The train journey went quickly. I spent most of my time in the observation car chatting to a few good ole boys about beer, ...

... hours in the museum, we headed out into the sunshine
and decided to walk up to Sun Studios on the other side of town. The walk took
about 45 minutes and we ended up wandering through what looked like an abandoned
industrial estate, although google maps had assured us we were going the right
way. We have since come to the conclusion that all of Memphis looks dodgy and
rough, even when it's not, and it's lovely....that just what Memphis looks ...
