... further suffering. On their advice, Socks died peacefully in mommy’s arms on October 28, 2009 in College Station, TX.
People who knew Socks would all agree that he was one spoiled cat. How could anyone not love him? He was a lap cat who constantly purred and was always at the door to greet us when we came home. When he sensed that we were sad, he would sit on our lap and purr.
Socks loved to camp with us and to explore each new ...

College Station, Texas, United States socksLeft Arlington, TX early in the morning. Heavy rain predicted later on in the morning, definitely wanted to leave before the rain. Ran into rain anyway so it took longer than usual. Texas received heavy rain the past 2 weeks that caused severe flooding in the Dallas / Houston area, of course this is where we are .
College Station, Texas, United States socksI guess this was the main reason I came back at this time for vacation. On the plus side - got to see the whole family in one place over a couple of days.
Outside of having to dress up in a tux, it was a good time. And my rental car even got into the wedding.
Made a quick stop by the Traveling Aggies office to make sure everything was taken care of for my Peru / Machu Picchu vacation next year. I was a little worried trying to do everything from across the pond.
Looks like it will be a good trip & I got the names of the other travellers.
Met up with another high school friend living in College Station. Conveniently, his kids were playing flag football at the same time as my brother's step-son.
Then off to the hotel. My suite on the top floor, right next to the Hilton emblem.
This year I only get to make one football game from Scotland. The Aggies are playing Oklahoma State. Krista is able to make her annual game as well. Not sure if the win streak will continue - every game she has gone to over the years, the Aggies have won.
Update - well, the streak is over. Wasn't as close as the final score. But it was a good day out, even if the weather wasn't as nice as forecasted.
... lot we met a lady who was staying at the hotel - she was scheduled to begin radiation treatment today for Inflammatory Breast Cancer. She was from West Virginia. She had her own little crusade to make people, especially women, aware of Inflammatory Breast Cancer. It is rare and can sometimes be mistaken for an infection. Her enthusiasm was contagious.

... Austrian Alps. Haha, I remember the first few times that I heard it I thought it was someone playing a flute or clarinet, it was beautiful. Or sitting out by Lake Thunersee in Interlaken, Switzerland at night. It was a new moon and I could see every star in the sky. Or the beaches at night in Cabo and Barcelona, nothing but the waves coming in and out, the stars in the sky, and great conversation with like-minded people. I think my favorite memory is being out in ...
College Station, Texas, United States tex25... I am away. I will get to see several others this year due to great scheduling of work trips back to the US. After the game, I got extremely sick. It may have been food poisoning, except I didn't each much and no one else got sick. It did make for an interesting week of work in California, though.
