We started our adventure from our home in Halmstad.
Leaving at 5:30 in the morning to be able to reach our goal at Haparanda in northern Sweden by the late night, approximately 1500 kilometers by car.
We dropped off Nellie, one of our dogs at my parents. She always enjoys staying there, I'm actually wondering if she doesn't like it better there than she does at home.

Had a great sleep in the quiet surroundings, only being woken about 8 as Johan and Louise left for their morning dip in the sea. The kids slept a little later. After a communal breakfast we headed to Kattvik for some crabbing and a picnic with Sophie and all the kids. ... which included moose ribs and wild boar. Then we embarked on what was listed on our itinerary as an "evening surprise" – a moose safari! With the aid of our trail guides, Per and Ulf, we drove through the countryside on the lookout for moose, deer, wild boar, hare, and others.
