... There's nothing like being surrounded by English-speaking people whom you can relate with completely. Plus I missed burgers and chipotle too much.

... I am trying to remember where we saw the other servants quarters - could it have been the Gould house? There seems to be more recognition of the role the servants played in the historical sites. We departed the Lowell area across Hwy 2 towards Western Massachusetts, entering the Mohawk Trail across the Berkshires. We were welcomed with beautiful color, muted by the rains, yet nothing like we have seen before. I shot some iPhone photos which are below. We looked for possible campsite but everything was shut down for RV's like us.
