... to the Mississippi River Park and Museum, but unfortunately it seems that nothing was open in Memphis until the beginning of April - probably explains why it was fairly quiet. We next attempted to drive along Beale Street where all the famous clubs are located, but it was closed to traffic and we couldn't find anywhere (cheap) to park. So, we decided to give up and head back to the campsite on a scenic route, and stopped off at the Sardis Dam for a walk.

We drove into Memphis around 7.30pm and did the usual motel hunt....things seemed pricey here which was annoying....and it didn't help that it was the weekend.
