A long day of travel but I made it! Knoxville through Chicago to Newark. I waited about an hour for Claudia to arrive but then we scouted about the airport and shared a pizza for dinner. The restaurant had bubble lights which made us think of Carolyn building her house! Plane boarding and departure were on time and we were flying across the Atlantic. I slept a little though I do not do well sleeping on planes. About 9 hours later we arrived ...
I must admit- I'm feeling like a slacker. The past three days I have traveled by van, train and airplane~ not so much on foot. All THREE DAYS combined I have ONLY totaled 35705 steps~LOL. But my feet are thankful :) I visited the Dr's this morning to have them checked out as a precaution :) and everything will be fine~ it will just take some time.

... hot and humid for the competitors. The best way to watch the action from the 18th green is from the air conditioned hospitality tents. The top sponsors this year who had those available were the News-Sentinel, Copper Cellar, and Fleming's Steakhouse, where yours truly hung out with my old childhood friends Ken Canada and Chuck Cavalaris on Championship Sunday. Their food was stupendous, including shrimp, lobster, crab claws, and prime rib.
... I know it is very hard for Ed to be "OK" with me going...across the ocean without him....knowing I don't speak a word of Spanish....hiking without a guide!!! (I can't even drive to Pittsburgh by myself for goodness sakes!!!) ....hard for him not being there to "protect" me. I am so grateful that he has the confidence in me....to encourage me to go...be safe...also to encourage me to cherish and enjoy every day of the journey....and ...
