    ... researched thoroughly and with the assistance of google maps navigated our way to the Magnolia Bakery - the best Banana pudding in the world said Trip Advisor. I hoped it would be enough the soothe the savage beast. I really hoped.
    We found the bakery easily enough. Donna ventured in while I finished my coffee frappe. It was milky delicious. I did my best not to make a point of it and found a park an a bench and waited.

    ... kids which made the next 6.5 hour flight amazing.
    We landed at JFK and it took us over 2 hours to get out of the plane and to the hotel. Arriving at the hotel we were lucky to get the 57th floor of the tallest hotel in America which gave us a pretty awesome view of the big apple. We were well pleased.
    They are 5 hours ahead here so the day was pretty long. Having a second win we decide to go out and explore ...

    ... of hours at a local hairdresser on Broadway, Greenwich Village. My colour needed some attention, but mainly my hair required a good wash and a dry with a hair dryer. In this freezing weather you can't go out with wet hair, as it freezes and breaks off!! (Men with beards have to wax them in the cold climes too...)     ... and weak tea for a couple of days, I was able to make an afternoon journey ( a 2 minute walk) with Hilary and George to Anjelika Cinema to see The Imitation Game, a terrific film about mathematician Alan Turing and his efforts to crack the Enigma Code.     ... parts of living during this time. It was fascinating. I did the 'Hard Times' tour which told the story on a German family who lived there in the 1860s and an Italian family who lived in the building in the 1920s.
