This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel in the past few months. I was traveling from the west to the east to visit family and it took me through Kalamazoo both times. When I was planning my trip back I did not hesitate to reserve a room at this hotel due to the service I received on my first visit. The staff were great and the free breakfast is a great bonus!

... run the last 400 m and do the whole mile...which I did...barely. "Oh Tom, how hard was it on a scale of 1-10?" Well let's just say it was difficult enough where I had to use that red emergency stop thing. Didn't even occur to me there was a stop button...I just wanted that thing to stop moving ASAP.

Of course with all physical conditioning tests you need a visual (not to mention every blog needs a little ...

Hi everyone, I'm a little emotional right now because I just got home from my last Steak N' Shake run for the next three months...*wipe away tears* I will miss the 1000 calorie shakes, the "meals under $4" menu, and the 2-4am happy hours. While I'm here I might as well start reviewing my experience; practice a little before reviewing the real stuff ...

... in the back yard, there has not been a single sighting. And then Ben told us about the birds - blue jays and robin red breasts. Have we seen any of them! No! This is definitely not a wildlife trip but there was a large wasp nest in the front eave of the house which the exterminators came to spray today so I can't say there have been no wildlife here! Tomorrow we return to Chicago by train having had a wonderful time in K-zoo. Thanks Ben, Ellie, Mia and Abi, and safe travels to ...

... Carol Santini. From there we will head Northwest.
Since I probably won't have too much travelog stuff to report on till after we leave Santini's, I may not have another entry until then. At least this time I should have adequate wifi capability. Camping has changed. We have computers, a tablet, two cell phones, and wifi through my phone. What ever happened to campfires and s'mores.
      See you down the road.
