Monday 27 to Tuesday 28 July

The Homebuilt campsite had pretty much emptied by the end of the weekend, the diehard Brits remaining. The camping gear packed up and sent on its way to await our arrival in Dallas, we were ready to go by 1000hrs, waved off by Colin. Destination Dayton, Ohio, we routed along Lake Winnebago to Milwaukee (where we made a turn to go behind a converging aircraft), across Lake Michigan, east ...

So, this is the rest of the weekend (and Monday as well)

After the running on Saturday, we were ready to just crash for the night and besides, we didn't know where to go to see the fireworks. We thought maybe we would be able to see at least some from the hotel. About 9 pm they started, but we couldn't see them. Kept hearing them and when I looked back out at 9:30 they were everywhere! By the time 10 o'clock came, we were watching 6-7 sets of fireworks ...
