... history to visit Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum in search of the burial site of one of Patty's ancestors. We had a section and lot number. We did not have a map. That proved to be a problem. We drove around and around and around without ever seeing any section markers. We found Orville and Wilbur's graves, but not the one we were looking for. ... Day; hearty thanks to Bill and Sandy Sowers. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email from a lady for whom I took a picnic photo (on the Air Force Museum grounds) on my smart phone and emailed to her (she didn’t have a smart phone or camera and it was such a lovely picnic!) So fun to hear from a stranger in Ohio! Thanks to her and to my high school friend, Avis for pleasant surprise phone call this week. Feeling blessed. . .

But, on a positive spin, we ...

Spoke too soon! Ron said he heard a number of trains last night and many used their horns. I heard nothing till about 7 this morning. We have also noticed that even though the interstate is a little less than a mile from here, we can hear it loud and clear this morning. Oh well, we probably would come back here just for the site layout and definitely for the price. Off and running by 10:30 this morning. Kind of a stressful drive as Interstate ...

Monday 27 to Tuesday 28 July

The Homebuilt campsite had pretty much emptied by the end of the weekend, the diehard Brits remaining. The camping gear packed up and sent on its way to await our arrival in Dallas, we were ready to go by 1000hrs, waved off by Colin. Destination Dayton, Ohio, we routed along Lake Winnebago to Milwaukee (where we made a turn to go behind a converging aircraft), across Lake Michigan, east ...
