... change of clothes I 'mommy-made' him pack in his carry-on bag. As Rick Steves says, no one comes back from a trip abroad saying he wished he had packed more stuff, which is a lesson we are taking to heart. You have to understand the back story here. Mitch and I left for Crooked Creek Parking parking lot, Yellowwood State Forest, after work to drop my car off at the end of the trail, well 2 miles shy of the end. We, Mitch didn't move from his sleeping bag until 7:30 AM, got up at 7:00 AM today but got a late start at around 8:45 AM. The weather was still a bit cold at 40
degrees. Mitch and I made breakfast and hit the trail with the sun and 15.86 miles to walk today.

We stopped about 4 miles in to sync up with Ryan. We had quite a bit of road/gravel road ...

... hike. We stopped at Bear Creek Lake for our lunch but found it too windy and cold to stay too long. The water their didn't look very appetizing so we decided to move ahead and find water elsewhere. The perfect resting and water fill creek was found at mark #7 on the Hoosier Hiking Councils map. We saw many other creeks that entire day but not as nice as this one.
