    Old hotel

This hotel is old and a little run-down, but the room was clean and the staff was friendly. I would recommend this hotel only because it is conveniently located just down the street from the subway station. However, I think it is too expensive compared to overall quality.

Charming old hotel, close to subway

    Reviewed Feb 22, 2010

I stayed at this hotel during the last week of February. It's a nice, old hotel with friendly staff, free wi-fi connection, and free continental breakfast. It's also got a really nifty elevator (think closing gate elevators from the Titanic movie), though I'm not sure it would be considered accessible to an elderly person or someone with a disability.

Please be aware that there is construction going on right next door to the hotel. Actually, my room was right next to the construction, but that didn't bother me because I was up very early every day anyway.

What DID bother me was that the toilet in my room (419) wouldn't flush properly, and that in the 5 days that I stayed, the toilet paper roll was never replenished.

Breakfast was very basic, but alright. There was cereal, fruit, toast/bagles, etc. available. I only ate there twice and decided to go elsewhere for a more heartier breakfast.

I would recommend this hotel because of it's cheap price and it's location. It's only a 2 minute walk from Sherbourn Station, which made it super easy to get to from Pearson Airport (I took the airport bus that dropped me off at Kipling Station, and then the subway took me right to my hotel. It only cost me $2.00 to do it, versus a taxi or expensive shuttle). While I didn't find much entertainment value in the immediate area of the hotel, being so close to the subway meant I could get to places within 15 minutes or less.

... honest. He says it's so hard to be away from Nonno, as it would be I could imagine. I can already tell it's going to be hard to say goodbye to them. I love it here. After everyone left I spoke dad on the phone. He sounded so excited. I had spoken to Nonna earlier. I miss them. This is making me realise how much I miss my family, so different to what the trip has been like so far. Then I spoke to Zia Pina for a bit and offered to help, of ...

One last cache on the way home had us searching everywhere within a block radius, another DNF, but it did take us to a plaza covered in fake green grass and grazing cows (not real of course) beneath the night sky with tall buildings reflecting the cities lights.

At this point I thought the process was done until I arrived in Australia but to my surprise a few weeks later I received another email stating my Bank Account has been opened and contained all the information for my Banking needs. This is when it really hit me that this was actually happening and was all going as planned. I now have a Bank account ...
