      ... entertainment was awesome and the atmosphere during the national anthem was electric. Kylie was jumping out of her skin and almost shed a tear. Patriotism at its best! The game began and we were soon on our feet as the Blackhawks scored twice in about three minutes. Buffalo then worked their way into the game and heading into the last period it was 2 apiece.       ... the long travel day wore off I started enjoying the experience better. I got pierogies to eat. I enjoyed the historic murals on the 5th level- a long and lustrous history. And the Sox won, so that was good. We always root for the home team. It was Paul Konerko "Piece of Paulie" give away day, so we got a nice souvenir for a player I'd never heard of before. And there were some great fireworks.

      More walking yesterday and last night. Glad we are setting off in the car today. we are both a little footsore and my knees and hips are feeling it. Wes's back is a little tender. Walked the river area at twilight last night. Lovely architecture and the guide was so enthusiastic. she had done a double major in architectural history.       ... a band play a few U2 and Tom Petty songs ( great job too) and visited the Bean again.
      Shopping was also on the agenda with visits to the Bus tour shop to collect free T- shirt, to Maceys, a few shoe shops etc etc.
      After shopping we jumped back on the bus as it visited went past the Art Institute., the Chicago Hilton, the Museum Campus before getting off at Navy Pier .
