... we moved onto 15th century St. Maurice Church. The Church houses the largest organ in Central Europe. We were fortunate, because an organist was playing that day. It was so beautiful that we stayed for a while to listen. Deb climbed up the stairs to the top of the tower and found the ascent pretty hairy. ... the biggest one I had ever seen……..but there were TWO of them!!!! The smile never left my face and briony once again was just amazed at the space my stomach has for stuff like this! We ate and shared a laugh but after dinner it was time we let our bellies rest and get ready for the next day. We head back to our Hotel and take advantage of the room and comfy beds before we start the next day.

... cars, trucks, semi's, tractors, it was a bit scary! Then we had a long, long downhill through dark pine forest on said same road, scarier still as it was so dark and maniacal drivers wanted to pass us!!! The drivers in the Czech Republic are not as respecting of cyclists like in Germany and Austria. There is a fair bit of map reading orienteering skill in this bicycle journey so I decided to bypass the next large town of Prostejov by following a river, and it worked! PM - Had ...

There are many historical sites in the Czech Republic. Sometimes it feels like every building I pass has a historical marker on it, and the cobblestones are a constant reminder of the past. I have been significantly impressed by some of the smaller touches of history; on several streets there are golden cobblestones engraved with the names Olomoci Jews who died in concentration camps. They are called ...
