Lørdag startet ferden mot Lecco. Etter å ha hentet leiebilen var det bare å starte bilferden. Det var med blandet følelse vi satt oss i bilen etter å ha sett hvordan italienerne kruser rundt her nede, men må bare si at Roger er en himla god sjåfør!;) Tok en time lengre enn beregna på grunn av kø, men gikk overraskende bra på veien.
... to pick up Karin's mother who is coming to stay so I booked lunch for us at the Hermitage in the Col d'Eze which was a good choice as it was a beautiful setting and great food. A bit off the beaten track so a lot less crowded than anything on the coast and with easy parking. Karin and Mark took all the photos so I guess they will be for the next blog. first up is Varenna which is a 7 minute cruise away, we land and it starts to rain and continues to rain so we walk arm in arm sheltering under a small umbrella exploring the sleepy village and it's three retail shops. ... a stunning medieval residence. We were treated to a generous outdoor after-ceremony buffet, which included lighter fare like cheeses and meats to more heartier dishes of polenta. While the couple took bridal photos, the guests were allowed to wander the beautiful grounds.
