A beautiful little City

What beautiful scenery approaching Bodo. We were Met by the district 2270 delegation. A warm welcome and presentation of special Nordland County pins. On to a great little hotel, a short meeting then lunch at a wonderful cafe with Per, and Richard. Sushi, pasta, shrimp and bread with coarse salt on the butter.

Richard took us on a walking tour of the city until we all started to fade.

So I woke up at 12:30 AM because I left my windows open not realizing that there was a nightclub across the street (Friday night). Noisy bunch. So I took the opportunity to snap a few photos of daylight at midnight. By the way, the Grand Hotel is one of only two buildings left standing after the Germans bombed the city in 1940.

This morning I came near to suffering a heart attack. We had to leave the hostel at 5:40 to catch the first subway to the city center. I had locked my locker with a lock (hm ... ^^) and somehow I obviously but completely unintended and unnoticed changed the combination yesterday. ... dan ook. Er stonden een aantal tenten her en der verspreid, dus wij besloten er maar gewoon tussen te gaan staan.

Je kon niet met de auto bij het veld komen dus we hebben alles naar onze plek moeten sjouwen. We konden de auto wel op een grote parkeerplaats parkeren waar een hoop campers en caravans stonden. Bij die parkeerplaats was wel een soort informatiepunt met wc maar die waren allemaal afgesloten.
