Our first night of camping. We visited Will Roger's birthplace that was only a couple miles away. We walked on the boat docks down in the marina. There were a couple hundred boats there, pontoon party boats and sail boats. We saw some really beautiful sailboats.
Claremore, Oklahoma, United States ironworker025We're already halfway with an ETA Casa Grande for Sunday. Gray day, fairly easy driving with no specific highlights. We're parked in a KOA attached to a Casino where we will have dinner and may spend a few nickels for fun. The trick is to never play the winnings, otherwise you loose everything. We're moving at a rate of about 300 miles/500 km per day, basically 6+ hours of driving. Thinking of you.
Claremore, Oklahoma, United States averynetOkay, Tulsa is nothing like what I expected. It's a city!!! Again (much like Witchita), I was expecting a small little two-horse town. It's busy with flyovers and freeways and lots and lots of traffic!
When we signed into the hotel, the sign in girl was really friendly and amazed that we'd be visiting Tulsa all the way from Australia. We then schlepped down to Arby's for dinner and the young negro girl there was also blown away by the fact we ...

Ok..we have 2 more days till we depart. Is everyone getting excited? I know I am. I just received confirmation from the Hotel in Alabama that we can make signs for the doors. So let's get those creative juices flowing and make some signs. Use your imagination and fake fur..maybe a splash of glitter.. Don't forget the coaches.. there is nothing more manly than a coaches name thats been bedazzled. Here are a few pictures from the car wash..
Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, United States bastormsoccer... about for 4 days. What are the girls going to write? (I'm scared what some of them might say) Maybe I'm more confused why their parents would trust us with their kids. Kidding..
I've uploaded pictures to see how this will look. I'm excited. So here you have it

Another rest stop on the way home. Tulsa was absolutely stifling with humidity and heat when we arrived. I guess we are heading in the right direction.
On the way to Tulsa, we drove through St. Louis. We had a great view of the Arch as we drove through the city. Jerry & I have both visited the Arch before, so we didn't make any stops here.
We did see a Nike Outlet at one of our roadside stops. Jerry went ...

A targeted 2:00 departure turned in to 5:00 p.m. I spent my last day at work and hoped to depart early. Unfortunately, I did not arrive home until almost 3:00. I will miss many aspect of the job I am leaving, but look forward to the new job I will start upon our return. This boring drivel however, is not why you logged on to this web site.

... our planned trip to Cancun. Sucks...I was looking forward to it. In replace of sunny Mexico...I made a last minute adjustment to go to sunny Florida to visit mom. Plenty of sun, seafood and fishing were in store and I had a great time. Back in Dallas (again) Tanya had managed to organize a surprise birthday party for me at one of my favorite restaurants...Javiers. She did an amazing job hiding it from me and I ...
Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States bwulzClaremore is home to the Will Rogers Memorial and Museum. To be honest, I didn't know much about him. I knew he was an actor but that was about the extent of it. He was quite an amazing person. Actor, aviator, humorist, cowboy and humanitarian to ...
