“Great Location, Clean and Affordable”

We Booked a Twin Share Dorm Style Room, with Shared bathroom, for 30AUD - considering the location and the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities, this is a bargain.
You're only a 20 minute walk from the centre and South Yarra, itself is a beautiful inner suburb of Melbourne, that is reason enough to stay.
There is a fairly decent budget, buffet style breakfast of cereals and toast, with Tea, Coffee, Juice and water available - all included as part of the price. There is also WiFi available on the ground floor of the hotel

Australia, Melbourne we could live here
Aussies are legendary travelers. Many travel for years outside their home. One bartender we talked to from a small town in the South had traveled for 5 years, and she just came home to make enough money to leave for another 5. Not so in Melbourne. Many of the people here have not seen much more than their state. A few said to me, when you live in …
Melbourne

We soon realised that Melbourne was trendy; trendier than Sydney...and our camping outfits just stuck out like sore thumbs ha ha. Chapel Street, although not central, was 'it' and the trendies (think …
First few days in Melbourne
The day we arrived in Melbourne was fine and sunny. We got the airport shuttle bus to the central station then took a train out to South Yarra - a nice suburb of Melbourne. We were staying at a grand and luxurious guesthouse which was a real treat! We had a wander around the local area and after eying up all the nice restaurants we took a bag of …
A day at the Cricket
We arrived back in Melbourne feeling pretty tired after a long two days and got the tram back to South Yarra where we returned to our luxury guesthouse. For dinner we reheated the previous nights pasta and tore up some processed cheese slices over the top - yum!
The following day we went to watch the cricket at the MCG. There were only …
Arriving in Melbourne
On the plane I met a Australian guy named Shane, we were chatting away and joking about not being let into the country. Turns out he was once refused entry to the UK! He works in construction and has been working on the new post office building in Exeter, we figured that we've most probably seen each other before drinking in the Impy - such a small …
