... been under the sea for 343 years and was preserved by the sand on top of it. A huge number of artifacts were also discovered in the wreck and were on display including silver ware and ceramics. It was quite amazing to see the condition of some of these items, given that they are over 400 years old and were submerged in the ocean for 343 years. ... the airport, and then it was time to say goodbye to Australia and begin the loooooooooong journey home. At the end of the first flight, Fiona felt faint and had a panic attack, so we had an exciting trip to Dubai Airport's medical centre, and then a nice long wait until our second flight as it had been delayed.. but finally, we made it home to England, safe and sound!!
