Historical Traveler Reviews of Clairfont Apartments Warwick
A budget accomodation
from lubbybubby
My two children and I spent seven (7) days at the Clairfont Apartments in Bermuda at the end of May 2006. While researching my trip to Bermuda, I quickly discovered that Bermuda is absurdly VERY VERY VERY expensive. Hence, I had to taylor my accomodations to that of budget accomodations. I happened upon the Clairfont and based my choice on the reviews, which were not many.
Bermuda has tons of budget apartment rentals.........and the Clairfont is such. If you are seeking luxury, the Clairfont is not. Again, it is a budget apartment that has the need for a great deal of improvement in decor and updates to the furniture. The cost per night was $150.......actually, it should have been $165 per night (15.00 charge for my three year old son), however Corrine generously made an unsolicited adjustment.
Corrine, the Manager is awesome!!! She is extremely helpful and generous with her time........making daily checks with us to ensure that we were safe and enjoying our stay. I think Corrine has great ideas for the Clairfont that I hope she will be able to implement. The facilities were clean and comfortable. The proximity to the beaches and the bus service is ideal......less than a four minute walk. Please note that it is on a slight incline and may not be that accessible for wheelchairs. The area appears to be safe, but of course you need to use caution anywhere in the world today. I was not thrilled with the surrounding area, especially when it became dark. If anything would prevent me from staying here again, it would be as my three year old would say, the spooky feeling outside after sun down.
Would I stay at the Clairfont again? More likely than not.
Clairfont is the best buy on Bermuda; we loved it!
from EOtravels
Spent 11 wonderful nights in a one-bedroom apt at Clairfont. Perfect location across from Warwick Long Bay beach - and a 3-min. walk to the route 7 bus that runs both to Hamilton and Dockyard. Corrine Simons, manager, is knowledgeable, dependable, helpful, and absolutely professional. Rosemarie, the new housekeeper, takes wonderful care of the apartments and makes sure that you have everything you need. Our apt had a king bed with large closet and vanity, a kitchen with full-size frig, stove, microwave, and everything you need - including dish soap, paper towels, and coffee, and a nice living/dining room with TV/digital cable/DVD. All 8 apts have A/C. Each apt is slightly different - some with very large bathrooms and huge walk-in closets. There is a lovely pool at Clairfont, and a nice children's park is a 2-min walk away.
There is no more central location on the island if you are interested in the beach and in attractions in Hamilton and to the east and west. And there is absolutely no better buy on Bermuda than Clairfont. We can't wait to spend an entire month at Clairfont, which offers very reasonable monthly rates in the winter.
We loved our trip to Bermuda, and we loved Clairfont. Thank you, Corrine and Rosemarie.
Great Location

The Clairfont offers a great location across the street from the South Shore Beaches and frequent bus service to Hamilton and the Dockyards. We rented a spacious studio apartment (#1) which met all our needs. The kitchen included a stove with oven, full frig with freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. We were able to prepare our own meals in comfort which saved on highly expensive restaurant costs. Corrine, the manager was very helpful, and Betty, the housekeeper, kept our place immaculate. We appreciated the included shampoo, hand lotion, shower gel and hairdryer.
November is an excellent time to visit with daily, free activities offered by the Bermuda Tourism.
Great value

This hotel is a really affordable and comfortable alternative to the very pricey resorts in Bermuda. A five-minute walk from the South Shore beaches, Clairfont offers very large studios and one bedrooms, all with separate kitchens and spacious bathrooms. The pool is large and nice. My family took over most of the guest house for a wedding and everyone was very satisfied. Corrine, the director, is very helpful and accommodating. She is available to meet all of your needs. The only drawback is that there are no restaurants within walking distance, however the bus stops at the end of the street. The furnishings are comfortable but not luxurious; it has air conditioning and in-room phones with free local calls. There are also irons and everything necessary in the kitchens. Very good for families or budget travelers.
The Best Value and Location

We have stayed here a few times now, and are already booked for 2005. It is the best location and value you can find. The apartments are clean, comfortable in so many ways. The property is peaceful and pleasant. When you are staying with them, you feel as if your at home. I have had many different types of trips to the island. I've gone by cruise ship, stayed at the large hotels, also stayed at other smaller properties. This one is the best by far. They know how to make you feel at home and are always available to you for any questions or requests. I would recommend staying here to anyone wanting to enjoy the real Bermuda in an inexpensive, yet classy way. You won't want to leave. I never do.
Terrific deal + fantastic location = perfect place!

If you are satisfied with adequate, affordable accommodations and you don't require the expensive resort treatment then stop your search, because you have found the ideal place for your Bermuda vacation!
Cozy, clean, safe apartments with friendly service and an ideal location close to public bus stop and Warwick Long Bay beach along the picturesque south shore.
I, along with two friends, shared a 1-bedroom/1-bath apartment for 4 nights over the 2004 Memorial Day weekend. They took the private bedroom with the king-sized bed while I slept (comfortably) in the living-area on one of two twin sofa beds. Our unit included air-conditioning, a small color television equipped with cable, a dining table with 4 chairs, and a fully-functional kitchenette complete with fridge, microwave, stove & oven, and dishes/glasses/cookware.
Towels were provided for use at the complex's small but refreshing swimming pool, and island information was available at the management office. The very best part of the Clairfont Apartments is the attractive price. We paid just $145 per night...far less than the best nightly rate at the resort hotels.
Enjoy your trip to Bermuda! By booking an apartment at Clairfont, you are already off to a great start!!

I have been coming here since the late 80"s and have been coming here for the past 15 or so years a total of 6 times on vacation. A great comfortable and convenient establisment.
Will return!

Great location. Close to all the major beaches. Bus stop at entrance.
With only 8 apartments, the pool is never busy! The apartments are clean and well stocked for your stay. The only advice I would have is to make sure you take a beach towel with you.
Great Find!

Every year we go to Bermuda we always stay at the Clairfont. The best beaches are located across the main street. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. Betty the maid is fabulous.
Clean, comfortable, great location

My family and I have stayed at the Clairfont numerous times over the years. We've always been pleased by the excellent value these guest apartments provide. They are clean and well appointed for visitors who prefer to take light meals at the apartment sometimes. There are no real amenities (room service, etc.), but if you're self-sufficient and want a great location. This is it. The pool is sparkling but the very best thing is the proximity to Warwick Long Bay Beach - one of Bermuda's prettiest.
