      Arizona Trip, Day 10

A travel blog entry by winniestravels on Nov 26, 2014

Again here, not much to say, just on the road from Texarkana to Tye Texas. The biggest highlight today was going through Dallas Texas. We actually took the ring road but that was a distance of 55 miles, one and a half hours, with traffic and all! What an experience. Actually was better than we expected. The rest of the trip to Tye was uneventful, however, we hit a glitch again. Once we were stopped for the night, ...

Actually, the title to the song "Abilene" is about the Kansas town, not Texas. That's okay as the song still fits here. We had a wonderful three days in Abilene and had a chance to walk around down in the old part of town. By this point in our trip, we were ready to get back to Austin to see the kids and grandkids. Abilene was just a quick overnight stop, and we were on the road again.

... our family's shining moment - I dropped Iris' plate of food, then she later freaked out about a bug she saw on the table. But we still enjoyed the moment and had a good laugh.

Talked to some of the people staying at the park for some ideas about where to go and stay next, mostly because we feel completely lost and not sure where we should go next.

THE SAME ! THE SAME ! THE SAME !

There just isn't much to write about while crossing this huge state on I-5. Texas is such a large, flat state. But, I want to record the over-night stop overs so that we can see the distances traveled each day of this unusual adventure. The pictures reflect what we see: the same ! the same ! the same ...
