... civiques. *** On etait hier a Cuenca.
Cuenca, Spain and Canary Islands philocan... s funny how the weather helps you to form your view of a place, but whilst it is surrounded by beautiful countryside and oozes charm, the 3 degree temperature and Manchester-esque rain somewhat dampened the Cuenca experience so to speak. This, combined with the careful situation of all amenities, at the bottom of the hill in the soul-less expansion of the original town, made it all the more unwelcoming. Signs ...
Cuenca, Spain and Canary Islands philocanLeft Madrid on Dec. 27 and headed for Cuenca. There was suppose to be these hanging houses. More like houses slightly over the edge of the rock face than hanging. Cuenca is a small town but there were some cool museums and buildings. On the 29th when we left Cuenca and got the train to Valencia where we encountered an ...
Cuenca, Spain wilsonking... us didn't care about that. He wanted money to watch our car. I had read about this scam, but it seemed wise to play along. We walked onto a footbridge that spanned a large gorge. On the other side were the hanging houses of Cuenca, houses built right alongside the cliff. They were neat and photogenic, but Ward began his ever-constant complaining about food. I was tired of Ward's massive stomach, but I was ...
Cuenca, Spain youngtI was waking up very slowly. I vaguely remember when I was a kid, I was terrible getting up by 7:45am for school despite my mother and grandmother's help, but on the other hand I was always ready to go out by 7am by myself on the weekends. -Where is the energy gone? Where is the vast excitement for each Sunday gone? (Japanese schools used to be 6 days a week) Am I getting so old... Well it's probably better to think that I still have half ...
Cuenca, Spain k.toyoda... it's no good". Then the voice from the interphone got louder; -°°àààà**+++^^"à2à#############!!!!!!! I shouted back; "Thanks! Bye!" The voice was gone. After that I managed to find a nice cheap hostal with a very friendly owner. Now I would like to remind you again that English is not widely spoken in Spain and attempting to speak in Spanish is always more welcomed and practical. TBC Llubio de beso,
