    ... top of a hill with fantastic views over the town below. TripAdvisor suggested we should eat in. So we did. And we weren't disappointed. Andy's smoky truffled sausage was probably the star of the show!! So that is the end of day 1. If the rest of the holiday carries on like this we are going to have a lot of fun and good food. Unfortunately we have no more motorways so toll booth entertainment will cease but we will try and find an alternative. Watch this space ...

    ... Then we saw Arcos de San Juan de Duerno. It's a pretty courtyard type thing attached to a small structure.The arcs are beautiful. After that we took a walk along this beautiful river.     ... lots of crunch. Met Miguels brother and cousin. Zulema told Robyn women don't drink alcohol in pubs so the girls had a non alcoholic bitter which was very good. Left Miguel and Zulema to watch their son play footie and headed to Soria. Lots of people promenading about the old part of town despite the cold, windy weather. Found a local tapas bar and warmed up. Then home, a great day. ...
