After Trier, we headed to Cologne to see the cathedral. Cologne is a big city and we had a heck of time finding the parking and then lugging our stuff into the hotel--a little stressful :). Once we got settled, we headed straight to the cathedral. It's a bit like the grand canyon in that you can't appreciate just how big it is until you experience in person. ... and "saw the sights". Unfortunately, Terry's breathing decided to turn **** and this affects his sleeping and becomes a vicious cycle and puts him higher up the **** scale. So I'm not sure how much he is enjoying things. Yesterday we left the boat deciding on the bus and canal tour option. Very interesting and the age of buildings and even the construction of the city is very different to what we are accustomed to. We had time to walk through ...

... we would check it out.... Cologne is along the Rhine River and is popular with the Rhine River tour boats. We walked out of the train station and were distracted by the massive gothic church that appeared atop of the windows inside the train station. WOW! This place looks nice so far! We got to our hostel in which had each bedroom was designed differently. Our room was called 'Paul' and had a photography theme to ...
