... building, 828 meters high. Outside was a fountain show at 6:00pm, we thought that we would stick around for that. Well sort of… we went into the mall for more of a look around. The fountain show, we were told was similar to the one at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, as it had the same designer … this was probably true but this show lasted only 3 minutes, it was nice though.

Each day in Dubai has been over 45 degrees Celsius …. When ...

... at the mall. So we had to transfer busses. Not s big deal, but it's a good thing we left with a lot of time to spare. We pulled up to the mall and there. Are fancy cars everywhere. Our bus pulled in behind a Maserati there was a Ferrari just behind us, and Porsches everywhere. Crazy. Then onto the observation deck at the Burj Khalifa. There are two observation decks, one on floor 124 and another on floor 148. If you buy tickets that go to floor 148 you get to stop on both ...

So now it's 2am and we are having a jetted bubble bath to iron out the travel kinks and help us ...

... it was the closest I have felt to home in a long time. I also checked out Dubai and I was lucky enough to travel up to the tallest building in the world - The Burj Kahleifer. An amazing building and work of art in architectural design. The lift up to the top is blacked out so you don't feel sick shooting up through the city towards the clouds. At the top I enjoyed the great lookout inside and outside. Dubai really is a skyscraper city in the middle of the desert. The Dubai mall ...

Didn't sleep well last night - not sure why. Kept waking up every hour but not because I was hot, or cold, or that the bed was uncomfortable ... in fact the bed might be just a little too soft for my liking ... had a sore hip/back :( Finally, at 5.30 am while everyone else was asleep, decided to finish my book, "Broken" - a sad, true story about a young girl who was abused by her step father for many many years. Anyway, downstairs ...
