... The airport was a different story and I was stung with a 20 squid bill for forgetting to check in online prior to arriving the airport. ****ers!!! To make matters worse, my baggage was 5kgs over limit and some angels appeared to help share to payload in 'carry on'. I was just hoping they were on the same flight. Later I found out they were the rest of the 'Snow Sluts' whom I hadn't met at this point. My adrenalin levels were pretty much peaking so I wasn't concerned ...
Grenoble, Rhône-Alpes, France mickeyj07... on going to Paris, but if Kristina and Mary come up with a better idea, we just may do that instead. I will be home Saturday the 18th for sure, because that night I will be going to Lyon to see Banane Metalik. So much psychobilly, I think my head may explode. Updates and pictures after I return.

Grenoble, Rhône-Alpes, France habeinfraToday, I have been on this planet 22 years. I cannot believe that this past year has flown by so fast. This is particularly strange after having Megan here last week. We met three weeks into freshman year, so we have been friends almost my whole college career. It was so bizarre to find ourselves discussing our upcoming graduation and our post-degree plans. In two months I will no longer be an undergraduate but the holder of Bachelor's of Arts....WTF.
Grenoble, Rhône-Alpes, France unluckycharms13... a lot of fun as well. It's not as fast but it allows you to appreciate mother nature and the gorgeous views the mountains offer. We were going through woods most the time and I felt as free as a bird the entire day. We pique-niqued at the top of a mountain. We were exposed to the winds, but the weather was fantastic. Amazing deep blue sky, no clouds, and an incredible view on the massif of Belledonne (and we saw the ...
Autrans, Rhône-Alpes, France bfayolle... it's strike. Typically the international students are not affected as we are not citizens and thus are not subjected to the French and their craziness (during manifestations, that is). However, two Mondays ago we arrived to the CUEF to find a massive pile of chairs and several French students tying them all together. We laughed and then continued on to our classes only to find that every chair from the ...
Grenoble, Rhône-Alpes, France unluckycharms13... I had sudden flashbacks of 3rd grade when we did similar exercises of which I always did TERRIBLE on. I remember tearing up during those exercises back then and I felt like doing the same Friday. Although the whole thing lasted less than two hours we all felt beat afterwards. Yesterday our whole group went to Lyon with our professor Victor. It was a nice break. Lyon is ...

Spent three nights with michelle sergeant, her sister, and two other kiwis from london. That first night, i showed off my iceskating skills on the rink in front of hotel de ville. Grenoble, France chicoligno... and she thought the same thing I did. She said that maybe I should ask someone else (in the hopes of getting a different answer). In all my tiredness I just wanted to get to Châtel and go to sleep, so I decided I would just try to get on the train tomorrow with bike in hand and then play dumb if anyone said anything (better to beg forgiveness than ask permission, right Papa Davis?). If they wouldn't let me, I would then just have to ride my bike through the center of ...
