      Last Day

I was woken at 5.00am by noise from deliveries in the courtyard outside the hotel, I am not sure if they were delivering to the hotel or to the shops under the hotel, anyway it's a city centre hotel so it's bound to happen, I tried to get back to sleep but no chance so I put tv on and watched BBC world news, all doom and gloom as usual. I got up and had a shower then at 6.30am went for breakfast, all the usual, hot food, Danish, coffee and apple juice oh and a ...

Woke at 7.30 again and I was ready for some breakfast, I had the usual hot breakfast with a Danish pastry for after and banana also pot of coffee and glass of apple juice, well I got good value for the €5 I paid, just one of the perks working for Marriott hotels gets you. The sun is shining today but temperature is only 1deg so jumper on and coat fastened up to the top button and gloves on I set off to the Miniature Wonderland, it was a brisk 25 mins walk but easy to find, ...

After breakfast I went for a walk around the Alster lake, it was really cold and wish I had taken my gloves ...

It's a early morning flight to Hamburg, 7.30am from Birmingham airport so up at 4.00am and on the road for 4.30am. I was a little worried about the weather as snow had been forecast over night, I only saw a couple of flurries on the way to the airport so not as bad as they forecast thankfully. Arrived at the Airparks at 5.45 and quickly onto the bus, it's amazing how busy it is for so early in the day, the bus is nearly full, lots of people with ...

The Cologne gig was good. A very hushed affair but the audiences here listen intently. There was only one person talking up the back, and it turned out she was an Aussie girl! Ah, bringing our cowboy culture to the wider world.
