    ... alternatives...it was crazy. Thanfully I had brought with me a reasonably good German road map and managed to navigate us back onto more major routes. I'm sure that somebody had once told me that the German auto-bahns were good but there were very little dual carriageways or the like. I was ready to chuck the satnav out the window and resorted to navigating by the map alone.     ... train station, I got a sandwich zu mitnehmen (to take with me) and headed to the track for my departure back to Leipzig. Awaiting for the train to arrive, I was surprised to look up and see the woman that I had had a conversation with earlier. The trip back to Leipzig was routine and it was around 10:30 PM when I arrived at the apartment.

    ... be appropriate and I could order some food that was definitely American—barbecue ribs and onion rings. I could have had a dessert of Bananas Foster (with a German twist), but I was full after my entrée. I even dressed in as near rot, weiß und blau (red, white and blue) as my clothing options allowed. The kitchen refrigerator does have a freezer that has been lacking in all places except for Biberach and there is also an electric dishwasher (a first).
