City Partner Alter Speicher Lübeck

I arrived at night (as I always seem to do) in Lübeck and met my great uncle Dieter at the train station. The first day we went to Travemünde by the sea, but as its pretty much winter now, it was windy and really cold! So we didn't stay long and came home and had a bit of a relaxing afternoon. The next day we went into Lübeck city and had a little bit of a walk around, then came back home, had a coffee, then set off for Schwerin. We saw the Schwerin Castle and ...

You called me an idiot before asking for my help. Enjoy Gdansk." I don't think it ever occurred to them that I was an American, too. They were prime examples of the type of tacky American tourists I run into from time to time and is it any wonder people frown upon us? Nice going ladies.

... to learn a little bit of German or else use sign language because few could speak English. I liked it, it made it more real. I felt like the only foreign tourist in the whole place. It was very peaceful, and the hostel quiet with only one other occupant in my room.

After 4 days in Lubeck, we headed down to Travemünde, a beach and harbor city on the coast of Germany. In Trave, among things, we visited Germany's Knotts Berry Farm: Hansapark!! :-)

Germany is a great country with lots of culture!
I strongly recommend a visit there!... We will be back for sure...
