... and the temperature was, if anything, a bit on the cool side. Towards the end of the journey Vida walked along most of the train and commented that the tourist class carriages were stifling.

It turns out that breakfast was included in our train tickets so we had a Spanish omelette with chicken sausages, a (tough) bread roll and tea, coffee or juice. Hence we still have our second picnic basket with, by now, ...

We have had some amazing cuisine on this trip! Here is an assessment: * Dave loved Italy's gelato (daily!). He disliked the duck liver pate in a France. * Kim loved the French cheeses (daily!) and the fresh Greek vegetables from the gardens. She also has been enjoying the wines of all the regions (but that goes without saying!). Dave and Jill had figured out groupings to the airport in Malaga, trying not to take too many trips, so I was with Pat and Peppa and Gillian. We were picked up at the square at 11:00 AM; my flight wasn't until 3:05 PM so I had to wait quite a while. Thankfully, Gillian’s flight was at 3:30 PM so we were able to wait together.
