Finals & Fun, Day 2! [Day 87]
... arch until Chester came with the key to let us into the barn. As soon as we got in there, Johnny came in to tell us it was a false alarm (found out later something got burned). Then it was back to finish the test. Now I really really really have to pack; Huber is inspecting us first tomorrow, between 12:30 and 1, and I have to be all done by then. And of course tonight is the last American Night!

Finals & Fun, Day 1! [Day 86]
... the scenes from A Doll's House and those from A Zoo Story (which is by Edward Albee and now I must read it)! I am constantly impressed by the talent of my fellow Emersonians. Currently sitting on my favorite stair in our staircase, the one right above the second (upper) light with the arrowslit to my right. It's quite cold, as usual, but I hopefully won't be here longer than it takes to get me on the fourth page of my Intercultural essay!

This morning (and by this morning I mean by 8AM), Alex and I were going to do a bike ride to Germany. However, I overslept. Which actually turned out to be fine, because when I woke up, I saw this out my window:

Vandaag over twee weken staan we op Schiphol, hebben we waarschijnlijk al ingechecked. Tijd voor een laatste kopje Hollandse koffie.

Day off from working and went to Nijmegen
... it looked like. There was Double Decker storage for bikes at the station which we had not seen before.
We then walked towards the town and followed the signs for the VVV where we met a wonderfully enthusiastic anglophile who was extremely helpful. She showed us where to go on the map and explained that Nijmegen was flattened in WW2 except for 1 part with the old weigh house in.
