... place with home brew beer! Me and Sophie both ate 'Witches Fingers', which was a chilli dish with cheese!

We then went with Pip, Nicolette and Martin, who we had met on the walking tour, and climbed the three crosses hill. On the way we passed a load of leaves that had been swept up to form a huge pile. The temptation was too much to resist and I ran and jumped in! Once at the top of the hill there was a great view across Vilnius.

... To work off lunch we set off across the Nemunas River to another funicular- the Aleksoto Funicular. This took us up to a hill where we admired a panorama of Kaunas City. Again we walked back down the hill and then along the riverside to our hostel. We collected out bags an set off for the bus station via the Museum of Deportation and Resistance. Today was the weirdest day of the whole trip.
On the bus to Vilnius, we were joined by some Irish guy who may or may not just live off of travel visas. He teaches English in Riga, and apparently travels to Minsk all the time, and is very cozy with all the diplomats. He gives the impression of being a diplomat himself, but then he's on the Ecolines bus from Riga to Vilnius? Then we found him on LinkedIn and apparently he just is making his career out ...
