We have had two social-economic development classes so far and I can tell that I'm going to like that class too. We are actually doing a volunteer placement for that class where we will be volunteering once a week for 6 weeks a social welfare/development agency. That should be really interesting so I'm excited for that.

The last day of the tour we went to the township of Khayelitsha which is appropriate I think since all of us will be working with children from townships. Township tours have become quite popular in South Africa and I'm guessing that the residents are beginning to feel like they are being exploited. I played in the annual golf tournament on one of the Stellenbosch vineyards (very poorly I might add) and then serious drinking commenced at about 12.30 with champagne. How I got home that evening is a bit blurry (thanks for the lift Robert) but it meant that I left for the airport at 4am the next morning feeling rotten.
