... br> Lunch was at a local restaurant that seems to be very popular. We saw some fantastic kids harmonizing and dancing to their tribal songs. The lunch itself was a lot of meat and corn meal. The next day the travels properly began with the first stop being in Knysna where I cycled/walked up a very steep hill to the Knysna heads to take in the stunning views. I then went to Plettenburg Bay where I visited an Elephant Park where they have saved elephants which were endangered due to drought or poaching. ... of a 12-seater and a smaller 4-seater for a group of 16. These trips for us were all on time, flown by young, cheerful pilots, and saved lots of time. They generally lasted from one to two hours. The trip leader asked for volunteers for the smaller plane, but also tried to rotate seating in the big versus small planes, so everyone could get both types of flights. Tomorrow should be interesting. We have a 5 hour scenic drive to Hazyview, which is located a short distance outside the Kruger park entrance. Hopefully we'll have entertaining shuttle mates Then we're scheduled to ride elephants at 3:30 p.m. Stay tuned!
... which scanned our passports and spat us out boarding passes, which was not bad considering we were traveling on Kenya Airways and we were in South Africa. So we were all checked in with 9 hours to spare - yes, not the greatest connection ever.
Found a restaurant with comfy chairs, bought some coffee, and settled in for the duration. Spent the afternoon making up puzzles for Mandy's course in Nairobi.
