... We had heard that Semporna wasn't the nicest place in the world so we really wasn't expecting much. Everything we had heard was true as we got to Semporna we discovered for ourselves that it really is a dump! Never mind it was only for one night. ... they see! And here we are smack bang in the middle of it! All night dives have been cancelled so that boats are not out after dark, which is a pity but we don't want to increase our risk of getting kidnapped so it's fine with us! The Malysian authorities sure have kept it quiet as we didn't see anything about this in the news over the last few days, international or local. Hopefully things will calm down though as the pirates will lay low for a while if they have any ...
