... gutted we didn't get long in it. After Ben had his turn we all chatted into the evening. Day 118 We awoke to pouring rain and dampened spirits. How could it be so horrible after such a beautiful day before?! After a yummy breakfast (Japanese) we waited hoping for the rain to cease.....it didn't. So there was a lot of preparation of waterproofs and bag covers before we could set off. Ben was joining us for the next leg of the journey. We were all keen to see the orange ...

People came to the temple to do a quick prayer and enjoy the scenery. ...

Before she walks away I use a phrase I have now sort of mastered "Nama biru o kudasai." Erika had to help me write this but I know how to make the appropriate sounds and the sounds translate to "draft beer please." I then point at the beer menu and using only clicking sounds, ...

Day 12 - travel to Onomichi - Hiroshima area

A travel blog entry by globalshepherds on Apr 29, 2015

As we got to sleep pretty late the night before and we had to wake up sort of early to get our free breakfast - 9AM - it didn't surprise me that we were both feeling pretty tired after breakfast. On this day we would travel to the outskirts of Hiroshima and perhaps take a bike ride between some of the islands on the Japanese Inland Sea. Once again while there is plenty of water to surf on in this region the WindGuru ...
