... road with a blue line that you follow as well as with signs often. There is the main recommended route but also other routes you can take to see different things along the way. We were going to try and go off the main route on Mukaishima but it started to get hilly and we were realising how bad our bikes were already. We only had 3 gears and with big backpacks in the child seats it made it harder going and a bit wobbly. We decided therefore to go back and stick to the ...

By the time we actually did get moving it was clear that my feet are still sore. Actually its just my 2 little toes which each have nice blisters and are definitely in need of some rest. It occurs to me that some flip flops would do the trick and allow my toes to heal up over the next day or so. ...

Day 12 - travel to Onomichi - Hiroshima area

A travel blog entry by globalshepherds on Apr 29, 2015

... something that will impress me. With that very laid back frame of mind I started gathering my things and pretty much had everything ready to go when our room phone rang at 10:22AM. As I hadn't even noticed that our room had a phone until this moment it came as a bit of a surprise to me. Erika hopped up and grabbed the phone and she says a few sentences in Japanese and then hangs up. She then says "Checkout was at 10AM so ...
