A sleep in today with a 9.00am start.

First activity is a city tour, well what there is of it. All but 17 houses were destroyed by an inferno during the war so there is not much history standing. We went to the rebuilt church, payed for with American help. Unfortunately our guide took it upon herself to deliver a sermon which some enjoyed …

Most of the people in the streets are making their way between stores. There are two main shopping malls, both small. Of course, McDonald's has a prominent location across ...

... 2 and a half hours to fill in before the overnight train to Tampere. We needed to eat and hadn't spotted anything interesting from the bus, food wise - plus being a bit fed-up - so decided to eat at the restaurant at the station. I think we had pizza - and beers. But just when you're getting a bit bored - guess what? You meet someone and have a great conversation and the time just passes so quickly! And that's what happened to us - met a young ...
