... the monarch during the French Revolution and the Wooden Chapel Bridge which had 400 year old paintings still intact throughout its ceilings. We had a traditional Swiss lunch, plenty of cheese and chocolate which was delicious. A relaxing day it was! There is an art museum across the street from the hotel and we thought it would be a good idea to get a little culture while so close. The specialty of this museum is Pablo Picasso. I have seen a few of his prints but this place has the largest collection of his art anywhere. A famed train trip if ever there was one.....well we missed it by 4.5 hours...what a bugger! so what do you do in Chur,....not much at all.
However we visited the train station office to find another route back to Luzern,...and what a trip it was.
